Dr Annah Andavuki

Dr Anna graduated from Moi University Eldoret in Kenya. She worked in emergency medicine and general practice in both public and private health sectors.

She migrated to Perth with her family in 2017 and has worked in various sub specialities at St John of God Murdoch, SJOG Midlands and SJOG Mt Lawley, Peel Health Campus, Armadale Hospital and Geraldton Regional Hospital.

Anna has an interest in all areas of general practice especially acute medicine, chronic disease management, women health and paediatrics.

When she is not working Dr Anna enjoys singing, loves spending time with friends and family, enjoys event planning and is a community leader/public speaker who believes in empowering people to be the best version of themselves.

Dr Hein Gildenhuys

MBChB, MSc in Obstetrics and Gynocology, FRACGP

Dr Hein Gildenhuys takes great pride in the care of his patients.  He is an established and highly skilled General Practitioner with over 30 years experience in practice. 

He graduated as a medical practitioner in South Africa and migrated to Australia in 2004.   He obtained his Australian General Practice Fellowship in 2006.  Dr Gildenhuys has been practicing in the South West for the past 15 years.  

His interests and skills span the full GP spectrum including minor surgical procedures including circumcision and vasectomy.

Dr Gildenhuys is a keen mountain biker.  He also enjoys spending time with his family and in the outdoors. 

Dr Fouzia Gul

Dr Gul graduated  from Fatima Jinnah Medical College Lahore, Pakistan, she then completed two years postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Pakistan before moving to Australia in 2011.

Dr Gul has also completed her Master in Public Health from Curtin University Perth, WA in 2012 and has worked in various specialities at Sir Charles Gairdner hospital Perth and Bunbury regional hospital since 2014.  Dr Gul has an interest in all areas of general practice especially women’s health and Paediatrics.

Outside of work Dr Gul enjoys travelling, home decor and spending time with her family .

Dr Johan Burger

Dr Burger grew up in a small country town in South Africa, very similar to WA just with many more mountains that are covered in snow in Winter.

He studied medicine at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. After 15 years private practice in South Africa Dr Burger came to Australia in 2001 for a 6-month working holiday, and as a family decided to emigrate to WA.

Dr Burger and his family lived in Morawa for 2 and a half years and then Wongan Hills for 4 and a half years, moving to Australind in 2008. Dr Burger’s wife is a maths teacher at a local school and together they have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.

Dr Burger enjoys the full spectrum of a GP Practice, babies to aged care, preventative medicine, skin checks, minor surgery etc. He thoroughly enjoys his work as a general practitioner.

To brighten his day Dr Burger likes talking to his patients about camping, gardening and cars.

Dr Chris Lewis

Dr Chris Lewis attended the University of Cape Town for his medical degree, one the most beautiful places in the world and where Chris Barnard performed the first heart transplant. Exciting times.

After graduation Dr Lewis worked in rural practice in Zimbabwe, mainly in the farming communities. He also worked in South Africa, Zambia and Saudi Arabia.

Dr Lewis moved to Western Australia in 2003 to provide a secure future for his wife and three sons. His hobbies include birding, wildlife photography and gardening along with a fine wine or whiskey.

Dr Gert Myburgh

Dr Myburgh likes to cultivate long term relationships with patients and their family members. He has been in this region since 2011, has an established network with specialists and other health care workers and plans to stay here long term.

He graduated in 1994 in South Africa where he practiced as a GP for 15 years. He has completed the Australian GP Specialist examinations in Perth and obtained Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2012.

Dr Myburgh’s practice includes:

  • Skin Cancer checks
  • Women’s, Men’s, Children’s and Mental Health.
  • All other aspects of General Practice including heart conditions, cancers, diabetes, thyroid problems, Asthma, COPD, arthritis and digestive system problems.

Jenny Goodrick – Physiotherapist

Jenny has a B.Sc. (Physio) from Stellenboch University, South Africa.

She has a post graduate certificate in Spinal and Peripheral Manipulation from the University of the Free State and the Manipulative Therapists’ Group of the South African Society of Physiotherapy. She has completed Level One of the Musculoskeletal Group of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

She enjoys spending time educating patients about their conditions and includes the latest pain neuroscience in her approach.

Paula Jackson – Podiatrist

I Have been qualified and working a a podiatrist since 1983 graduating from W.A. Institute of Technology, Diploma of Podiatry and later Curtin University Bachelor of Science degree.

I have commenced working in private practice in 1984 and concurrently worked 12 years with WACHS based at Collie Hospital. I set up a second practice in Australind in 2011, and changed my practice name to Align Podiatry, to encompass both of my practices.

I practice all areas of podiatry although I have special interest in practicing manual therapies, including Myofascial triggger point therapies, dry needling and low level laser;  to treat foot and lower limb pain. Recently the addition of Radial Shockwave Therapy  to the practice has been very valuable tool in treatment of plantar heel pain and achilles tendinopathies.

Dr Abdel Ghobrial

Dr Ghobrial completed a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Queensland and James Cook University Respectively. Dr Ghobrial then moved to WA where he went on to complete his medical degree at the University of Notre Dame Fremantle.

He has experience working at Royal Perth, Rockingham and Armadale Hospitals. Also experience working in general practice in Geraldton and Perth.

Dr Ghobrial’s interests include Internal Medicine, Pharmacology and Skin Cancer Surgery.

Dr Ken Kyaw

Dr Ken graduated from the University of Medicine 1, Myanmar in 2006 after which he worked as a hospital medical office, ship medical office and a general practitioner. Dr Ken moved to Australia in 2014. Dr Ken has over 5 years of experience working in Australia including hospital, city and rural general practice. Dr Ken also worked with the silver chain home hospital team.

Dr Ken has a special interest in aged care, chronic disease management, acute medicine and comprehensive care.

Dr Ken is fluent in English, Burmese and also speaks a little bit of Mandarin.
