Skin Checks

Why Skin Checks?

Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, with two in three Australians developing some form of skin cancer during their lifetime. The good news is that most skin cancers can be prevented or successfully treated when detected early.

You may have noticed a new spot, a change in an existing lesion, or been advised by someone else to have a particular area of your skin checked. These changes should always be assessed by a medical professional.

Regular skin checks are recommended for everyone living in Australia, with the frequency depending on individual risk factors such as skin type, sun exposure history, and family history of skin cancer.

At Leschenault Medical Centre, our experienced medical team provides comprehensive skin checks and can assess, monitor, and treat skin lesions as required. We encourage patients to book an appointment for ongoing skin health and early detection.
