Circumcision is a procedure that is performed for medical, cultural and religious reasons.  There are clear benefits, but research doesn’t support routine circumcision of boys.

The procedure is done safely under long acting local anaesthesia in boys from 4 to 12 weeks old. 

All surgical procedures inherently poses risks of pain, bleeding and infection that can be managed through proper technique and care. 

The procedure, benefits and risks will be discussed in detail at the initial pre-procedural visit.
